13 /55 Case Studies - Public (2/2) A new lightweight On-Nara system, which does not contain the functions that were mainly designed for the central ministry, has been provided to local governments. The new system enhances transparency and responsibility of public services, and fosters the use of public domain and domestic software. To improve availability and performance of the national defense system, the existing Oracle database was migrated to Tibero. The most recent algorithm for data encryption was applied to ensure system security and reliability. Tibero was built in the same project as the integrated deduction information system. Korea Life Insurance migrated the existing DBMS, which was used as an information database, to Tibero.
