1. Family Fare, Allendale, Saturday October 11 10:45am South My classmate and I met at 6370 Lake Michigan Dr, Allendale, MI 4940 which is Allendale’s Family Fare location to carpool to a field trip. 2. Old Firehouse, Allendale, Saturday, October 11, 10:48am South We passed the old firehouse which had a tall tower for firefighters to climb up and look for fires around the area. The old firehouse was built on the highest elevated part of Allendale for better look out. (Human Cultural Characteristics, Place)

3. Bridge over Grand River, M-45, Allendale to Standale, 11am North From Allendale, there are only two bridges that can get you over the Grand River. One is the on M-45 heading towards Standale East, and the other is on 68 th heading towards Coopersville North. 4. Applebee’s, Standale, Michigan, Saturday October 11, 11:05am North We passed one of my favorite restaurants to go to which is Applebee’s. 5. I-196 towards Lansing, Saturday October 11 11:20 am East On the highway we saw a semi with a trailer with cows in it. (Movement of Animals)

I-196 Highway, heading East, Saturday, October 11, 11:25am South From the highway we could see a ton of traffic and people moving around downtown and that was because it was the second to last day of ArtPrize. ArtPrize is a huge art competition hosted by Grand Rapids and visitors get to vote on their favorite piece and the winner is awarded a ton of money. (Movement of Ideas, Place)

7. Grand Ledge, Saturday, October 11, 12:15 North Grand Ledge is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan. The city lies mostly within Eaton County, though a small portion extends into Clinton County, and sits above the Grand River 12.7 miles directly west of downtown Lansing. named for, its 300-million-year-old, sandstone and quartzite rock ledges that rise 60 feet (18 m) above the Grand River and are used by recreational rock climbers.(Relative Place, Natural Characteristics, Region)

8. Fitzgerald Park, Grand Ledge, Saturday October 18, 12:45pm West I participated in a class field trip to Grand Ledge to study the rock formations there. This picture was taken at Fitzgerald Park. 9. Fitzgerald Park, Grand Ledge, Saturday October 18,1 pm South I learned that Grand Ledge has coal. Over the last two centuries, Grand Ledge used it ‘s rich deposits of coal for economic growth, although it is on a much smaller scale now, coal is still being mined in this area. 10. Downtown Grand Ledge, Saturday October 18,2 pm On our way home, we drove through downtown Grand Ledge. It has stores, restaurants, bars, and churches. It is a very cute and fun downtown. (Human Region, Movement of Goods and Services, Relative Place, Human Adaptation)

11. Mary Pew Library, Allendale, Saturday October 11, 6pm West I went to Grand Valley State University’s library, Mary Pew Library, to use their internet service and print out assignments. It is located at Grand Valley’s Allendale campus. I’m very thankful that Grand Valley provides free internet, and free internet services. (Movement of ideas and information, Relative Place)
