3 WWW.WEEBLY.COM  Why use Weebly?  Fast  Free (basic version)  Easy (no HTML required)  Add photos & files  Blog & Forum  Contact options

4 First Step:  Create your username and password Be sure to read the terms of service – no big surprises, just the standard “don’t steal our stuff” and “play fair” issues

5 Second Step:  Choose a title for your site

6 Third Step:  Choose a website address  Option A – free; hosted through weebly.com  Option B – you pay to register a new domain name  Option C – add this site to your existing domain

7 Now the fun begins:  Select a design (many options to choose from!) You can change the image on the design of your choice

8 Now the fun begins:  Add pages Each page creates a tab on the navigation bar unless you select NO here

9 Are you having fun yet?  Now you can begin adding stuff!  Text  Documents  Links  Photos  PowerPoints  Video  Contact Info  Survey  Forum  Blog Just drag and drop the object you want onto the page! Upload your file, link, etc. Use the two column layout to create spaces on your page

11 Video Tricks:  Add video several ways  Create link to video online (such as YouTube)  Download video and upload file; create link to file Caution: this option has some down time while file loads  Embed video (from YouTube)

12 Contact Page:  Create a contact page  Users can submit comments that go directly to your email  Multiple teachers can create contact pages on one website (each directed to individual email addresses)  You can create variety of required options, such as name and email identifiers  With Pro version, users can upload file to you (great for assignment submission!)  Contact and user statistics easily accessed!

13 Files Page:  Create a Files page  Load your files here and link them from other pages  Saves space on your pages  Files page can be hidden from view in navigation bar Only you can see it from editing version

14 Now for the MAGIC:  Create a Substitute page  Post the class agenda Complete with links, instructions, and all materials  Easy to do from home when you’re sick Send link to campus substitute office They can forward to sub and instruct them to library/copy room to print materials  Request feedback through Contact Page Good way to get name and email of your emergency sub if you didn’t pre-arrange
