3. Special education students struggle due to learning disabilities. Resource rooms are smaller class sizes that have at the most twelve students. Due to new education laws from the federal government, there is more of a need for inclusion classes. Research

4. Inclusion classes offer several benefits for both special needs students as well as regular education students. Special education students benefit from inclusion classes because there is more support with two teachers in the classroom and they get to interact with other students. Research

5. The most students Resource rooms are allowed to have is twelve. These learning environments were created to help meet the needs of students with learning disabilities. 6. Because I researched do special education students benefit from inclusion classes, I decided to have a fashion show with the special education class here at Clayton high for my product.

10.  My mentor is Mr. Anderson a teacher here at Clayton high school.  He is also my FCCLA advisor & apparel 2 teacher.  Under the leadership of Mr. Anderson I have had personal and professional growth.  While taking Apparel classes I realized I wanted to enter the Fashion Industry. Mentor

11.  It was difficult trying to figure out what I should teach them or activities they could do to benefit them in the fashion show. If I had a chance to change things I wouldn’t of chosen the topic I did. Reason being, Fashion is my passion, when I started my junior paper I found interest in special needs students and thought it would be more appropriate for school. Challenges & Successes  The students had fun sketching and decorating their own shirts to strut down the run way with.

12. This was a new experience for me because I’ve never been in a school environment with special education students and to work with them was a little challenging. I had to learn how to have patience. What I learned
