7 Marketing Chair Duties: To create flyers, posters, banners, etc. as necessary and relevant for promoting UCI Golden Key online (Facebook page and group, chapter website, etc) and throughout the UCI campus Application will be posted on our chapter website (uci.goldenkey.org) and e-mailed to youuci.goldenkey.org Due Wednesday, October 24 by 11:59 PM (week 4) Interviews during week 5

9 Community Service Events Family Reading Time - Read stories to children and help with arts and crafts Build A Burden Bear - Make stuffed bears for hospitalized children Paint Your Heart Out - Helped paint the home of a low-income senior

10 Make A Difference Day Saturday, October 27 from 9 AM-12 PM Bolsa Chica Conservancy in Huntington Beach Installing indigenous plants and removing non- native plants and trash Please contact Diana Hsu if you are interested in volunteering!

11 Scholarships $1 million available from Golden Key headquarters - Commitment to Service Scholarship - Research Grant - Visual and Performing Arts Achievement Award Our chapter also offers scholarships to students who embody our 3 pillars (academics, leadership, service)

17 New Member Recognition Event Friday, January 18 from 6 PM-8 PM Crystal Cove Auditorium Each inductee will be individually recognized and receive a certificate of membership Opportunity to meet other Golden Key members

18 Chapter Award Attendance at 3 workshops 5 hours of community service 4 hours of fundraisers/socials Proof of leadership role (club officer, manager/supervisor for a job, helped create an event, etc) Must complete these requirements by NMRE in January

19 Tier System Gold - 20 hours of community service - 10 hours of fundraisers/socials Silver - 15 hours of community service - 8 hours of fundraisers/socials Bronze - 10 hours of community service - 6 hours of fundraisers/socials Proof of leadership required for all tiers Members will be recognized during our end-of-the-year banquet
