3 The Phosphorus Cycle Phosphorus in the biosphere cycles among the land, ocean, sediment and living organisms

4 The Carbon Cycle 4 MAIN PROCESSES MOVE CARBON 1. Biological processes- photosynthesis, respiration and decomposition. 2. Burial and decomposition of dead organisms and their conversion under pressure (fossil fuels).

5 The Carbon Cycle 3. Geochemical processes- erosion and volcanic activity ( release CO2). 4. Mining, cutting and burning forests (burn fossil fuels).

6 The Nitrogen Cycle The atmosphere is the main reservoir of nitrogen, it also cycles through the soil and tissues of living organisms.
