When salt isn't safe By Jack, Ben and Tim You know how people put salt on the road to melt snow and ice? well that can be bad for the environment.

Definition Salt is a chemical that helps melt snow and ice. Though it can be bad for the environment.

What can you do Shovel snow and plow the snow instead of using salt. Take the train or walk.

Effects The salt melts away into the water cars splash the salty water on the new born plants and animals this can kill them. The water gets into lakes, streams,rivers and ponds it can kill fish and other living things.

Facts Salt is made up of sand and road salt. Road salt is the same as as the salt that you put on your food but road salt has sand in it. That was all about salt and how its bad for the environment.
