Mapping for Results Enhance Transparency and Citizen Engagement for Better Results Sandor Karacsony Consultant, WB/OSI

Key Objectives Mapping for Results visualizes the sub-national location of projects to: better monitor impact on people; improve the effectiveness and coordination of project expenditures; enhance transparency and accountability; and enable citizens and other stakeholders to provide direct feedback on project results.

Mapping Projects Worldwide More than 30,000 locations mapped for over 2,500 active World Bank projects Altogether 143 countries covered Indicator data on infant mortality, maternal health, malnutrition for 43 countries; Sub-national poverty data for 30 countries Population density data for 107 countries Currently applied for World Bank projects only, but the platform can be used for geo-referencing and tracking progress on other programs and projects as well – such as Roma inclusion
