Last week we looked at enriching writing by varying sentence types. How else can we do this?

A well known nursery rhyme… This is the house that Jack built. This is the malt That lay in the house that Jack built. This is the rat, That ate the malt That lay in the house that Jack built. This is the cat, That killed the rat, That ate the malt That lay in the house that Jack built. This is the dog, That worried the cat, That killed the rat, That ate the malt That lay in the house that Jack built. What kind of words are missing?

What kind of house? What kind of rat?

Objectives By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: 1.Demonstrate knowledge of the rules for adjective order. 2.Be able to describe an object using adjectives and subordinate clauses.
