5 What is an adjective clause?
An adjective describes a noun. I saw a man. I saw a strange man.

6 What is an adjective clause?
An adjective clause describes a noun. It is a clause. It has a subject and a verb. I saw a man who was wearing a dress. I saw the man who hit me!

7 What is an adjective clause?
There are 4 different adjective clauses. First, we will learn about SAC. SUBJECT (SAC)

9 SAC The noun is a subject. I saw a man who was wearing a dress.
We use: Who Which That I saw a man who was wearing a dress. I saw the man who had hit me!

10 SAC I had a dog which bit me. Jack saw the lady that kissed him!
The noun is a subject. We use: Who Which That I had a dog which bit me. Jack saw the lady that kissed him!

11 SAC The words which, that, and who change the NOUN into a SUBJECT! :o
I had a dog. I had a dog which bit me. Jack saw the lady. Jack saw the lady that kissed him!

14 PRACTICE TIME Finish the sentences below using adjective clauses.

15 Guess which person your partner is looking at.
Ask them questions like, “Is it the man who looks tired?”
