ASL Famous Deaf Person Presentation By; Nautika Muldrew B-2 April 15,2013

Claudia Gordon

Claudia Claudia was born in Jamaica. She experienced discrimination while she lived here. This is what inspired her to become a lawyer.

When and how she became deaf. Claudia went deaf at the age eight due to sickness.

Family There is little to no information about her family because she lived in Jamaica and records are kept poorly.

Impacts Gordon’s, efforts to ensure that the needs of disabled people were met in hurricane relief. Even though she didn’t change the way deaf people are treated she becaome very successful.

Fun Facts Gordon has been given many awards and honors. Gordon graduated from Howard University in 1995 with a bachelor of arts in political science.
