L.I to recognise the four Gospels of the Bible

Matthew Mark Luke John

Matthew was a tax collector well educated could read and write Matthew heard lots of Jesus’ teachings and wrote them in his journal Matthew

Mark the youngest of the Gospel writers a teenager he only saw Jesus teach once or twice wrote his Gospel after speaking to other people Mark

Luke a Doctor he never knew Jesus personally started writing about Jesus after his death learnt about the birth of Jesus from Mary Luke

John a fisherman he wrote his Gospel after everyone else! he wrote about things Matthew, Mark and Luke missed out John

Both Matthew and Luke wrote about the birth of Jesus in their Gospels.
