A BCS Tech Team Member is: Self managing Honest Eager to Learn Dependable

As a BCS Tech Team Member Attend all meetings and training sessions. Be a citizen in good standing throughout the school. Be current in all school work.

Each BCS Tech Team Member will: Serve as a tech assistant for an assigned classroom Make up any class work missed during tech time Be responsible for assigned computers Be accountable to the Tech Team Sponsor Keep a log of all Tech Team activities Receive special technology training Work as a team and respect others

Jobs for Tech Team Members Troubleshooters Photographers Assistants –Teachers –Students

Troubleshooters Learn proper computer maintenance Learn how to troubleshoot & assist teachers Setting up Laptop carts and Lab computers Preparing the Tech Labs Daily Changing Ink cartridges and maintaining printers

Photographers Learn how to use digital cameras and software Take pictures at chapel, etc. Learn how to print pictures Help teachers with digital cameras.

Assistants Work with assigned classroom teachers as needed to integrate technology

Working with Teachers & Students Be on time Greet teacher at an appropriate moment Don’t talk or wave to other students Work Quietly Be helpful and polite Answer questions and explain things nicely.

Working with Teacher & Students (Continued) Don’t grab mouse or keyboard and do it for the student or teacher. BE patient! You may be asked the same question many times. Don’t put people down who don’t know as much as you do. We are all learning new technology daily.

Tech Team Binders Keep binder in Tech Lab unless you are using it. Your binder contains: –Handouts from this slide show –List of Tech Team Members/homerooms/assigned computer –Helpful hints when working in classrooms –How to clean computer and Screens –Cleaning the mouse –Your business cards

Always leave your business card for the teacher. Put it on the teacher’s desk or on the computer when you leave. You can always make more.
