MORPHOLOGY MULTIPLE AFFIXATION

Exploring word form Combining bases with derivational morpheme Latin root –dict- means “speak, say”. (diction, dictate, dictatorial, benediction, etc.) Contradictory and contradictoriness (several affixes)

Take the free morpheme “nation” and add to it as many prefixes and suffixes as you can. National Nationalise Denationalisation Antidenationalisation Preantidenationalisation Denationalise

Compounding A compound word contains at least two bases which are both words or at any rate, root morpheme. Try to analise these compound words into their constituent. Teapot, week-end, hairdresser, kind-hearted

Identify The head of the village school has arrived The heads of the village schools have arrived She will head the village school. She headed that scool.
