How do they speak? Hindi is the official language of India. English is the secondary official language in India. Twenty-nine of the languages have over 1,000,000 native speakers each. About 4 out of 10 Indians speak Hindi.

How do they speak? The official language in India is Hindi. In Hindi language, Namaste means hello and goodbye. In Hindi Haan means yes and nahin means no. In Hindi language dhanyavad (don-yah-vahd)means thank you.

How do they make music? Classical Indian music is spiritual in character. Traditionally students live with their guru and absorb there masters technique. In India the most ancient instruments are drums and gongs. Wind instruments include the bamboo flute and the reed-piped nadawaram and shehnai.

What they eat? In India,religion affects what people eat.Muslims do not eat pork. Indians often sit on the floor for meals.They season their food in a spicy creamy stew called curry.same indians serve curries with rice.

What they eat? Each food item is believed to posses certain qualities that are transmitted to the consumer. Indian cuisine is as rich and colorful as the country itself. India produces a wide variety of split peas and beans. Vegetables in season, including gourds, greens, and root vegetables.

What they eat? Egg and chicken are commonly eaten through out India, fish and shrimp are not favorite in the coastal regions.

Curry is a spicy, creamy stew that is popular a cross India. Chutney is served with main dishes throughout India. In the north, tandoori ovens are used to cook vegetables and meat. Colorful shades of brown and red spices tempt shoppers at markets in India. Spices like cinnamon, ginger, and garlic are used in many Indian dishes. India is a world leader in producing spices.

What games do they play? The most popular sports in India are cricket, field hockey, and soccer. The Indian movie industry is nicknamed Bollywood. Indians spend a lot of time talking with their neighbors they also love to go to the movies.

What games do they play? Indian men often play a game called kabaddi. In this game, two teams each take a side of the field. One player crosses the center line and tries to tag as many players as possible. He then tries to return to his side. The other team tries to stop him.

What holidays do they have? Hindus light golden lamps during Diwali. Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights. Hindus celebrate Diwali in October or November. They decorate their homes and temples with lamps. Families also gather together to exchange gifts and watch fireworks. Independence day in India is celebrated on August 15.

What festivals to the have? Indian festivals are bewilderingly diverse. Some are national, secular events, such as republic day and independence day.The Hindu new year is celebrated in India sometime in mount of chaitra,it is called Gudi.

What is Taj Mahal? Located in the city of Agra, the Taj Mahal is one of India most famous monuments. Trees and fountains fill the gardens that surround the monument. People come from around the world to visit this symbol of india’s history and culture.
