13 Implementation in the Classroom Literacy Connections With each unit, a set of storybooks is included in the kit Fictional story about a child who has a problem that needs to be fixed Introduces the engineering field and how this particular one can help solve the problem

Ways EiE can be integrated into the literacy curriculum: Power Point Story- Have illustrations on the SmartBoard, verbally tell the story to students Small group instruction-Provide students with copies of the book, can do partner reading, respond to the text, etc. With research opportunities- Can extend learning into the engineering field even more– Infohio, webquests, etc.
