THREE CHEERS FOR TREES!! Starring: Mrs. Hobson’s 3 rd Grade Class

FAIR USE GUIDELINES: Certain materials are included under the fair use exemption of the U.S. Copyright Law and have been prepared according to the educational fair use guidelines.

What Are We Learning About? How trees benefit people and the environment. How people modify the physical environment.

MATERIALS Drawing Paper (2 sheets per group) Crayons or markers

LOOK at these words… Playground City street Neighborhood Park Zoo Highway Backyard Farm

GROUP ACTIVITY Your group will choose and draw one of the areas. Your group may draw the scene anyway you wish…EXCEPT that the trees will be left out of the drawing!

Draw the same scene again on the other sheet…but with TREES!

WHICH ENVIRONMENT DO YOU LIKE BEST?

JOURNAL WRITING Why are trees important? Do you like trees? Why? What can humans do to help trees?
