2 3rd grade: GA Habitats with Ozobots
Standard(s): S3L1. Obtain, evaluate, & communicate information about the similarities & differences between plants, animals, & habitats found within geographic regions (Blue Ridge Mtns., Piedmont, Coastal Plains, valley & Ridge, and Appalachian Plateau) of Georgia. EQ: Can you code an Ozobot to travel the Habitats of Georgia? Resources: STEM Bettes Materials: ozobots, ozocode sheets, markers, white paper, regions of GA map Lesson: Students will draw and label the regions of GA for Ozobot to navigate. Differentiation: Provide an Ipad Students can work independently Step by step instructions on the board Criteria: Write the regions of Georgia in your journal Draw an outline of the state of Georgia and label the regions Use at least one Ozocode in each region Ozobot should start at the Mountain region and follow your path to the Coastal Plain region Include cities, plants, trees, and animals you might see in each region

Challenge #1 Design a sequence of moves to make Beebot travel around the grid Draw arrows to help you program your Beebot Test your program with your Beebot Challenge #2 Design the sequence of moves needed to make Beebot follow the grid on the page Enter your program on your Beebot and press Go Compare your results with the picture in the grid Challenge #3 Design a program for Beebot to travel to the Airport Click on the Bee bot App Press Play Choose the first #1 level to begin Press to get back to the main screen Choose second #2 level
