A successful Reign? Philip’s marriage to Cleopatra did destabilise the court in 337BC. He had however put Macedonia at the Centre of the Greek world. Cleopatra Alexander I of Epirus To stabilise the court he organised the marriage of his daughter Cleopatra to Alexander I of Epirus (brother of Olympias).

Philip and the Persians Philip had planned an expedition against Persia for a long time. Hegemon Since becoming Hegemon he began preparing for the campaign.
