Characters Stuart Little- a mouse George Little- Stuart’s brother Mrs. Little- Stuart’s mother Mr. Little- Stuart’s father Snowbell- the Little’s cat Margalo- Stuarts best friend

Setting The story mostly takes place in New York City at the Little’s house and the rest is in the countryside.

Plot Stuart Little is a mouse-like boy born to human parents. Stuart has an adventure in which he gets stuck in the window blind. Before he gets stuck in the window blind he puts his hat and his cane down on the ground. Snowbell, the house cat, put his cane and his hat down by the hole in the wall. While panicking, Stuart’s family looks for him in the mouse hole. They also try luring him with some cheese but it doesn't work. When they found Stuart he was in the blind. When the Little’s found a bird named Margalo they decided to keep her. Stuart and Margalo become best friends. Margalo decides to run away because one of Snowbell’s friends is trying to eat her. Stuart Little sets off on the adventure of his life trying to bring her home.

Conflict and Solution The conflict is Stuart living in a house with the challenges of being small. The solution is being creative with things around him to survive.
