Most of them are years old (75%). A total of 154 students have been taken part in this survey. The number of boys and girls is very similar (78/76).

The majority of parents work, although the percentage of fathers working is about 20% higher as in mothers. Parental educational level is of the same order in both, men and women, and nearly 70% have secondary studies or higher.

There are very few homes without a computer (only a 5,9%) or a mobile (2,6%) with Internet connection.

Internet is used every day by nearly all the students (95%). About half of all students use it between 3-5 hours per day. It should be noted a 5% who states to use Internet more tan 15 hours. Almost half of the kids use the Internet to connect to a social networks (45%), followed by browsing and and messaging with lower values (13% and 11% respectively). Only a 3% use the Net to do school work and a 2% to shopping.

In general, students find themselves well on the Internet and know how to use it good enough for their needs. Do you know how to handle them when being on line? Facebook and Twitter are the social networks with more followers (36% and 31%). Almost 75% use them daily.

A 6,7% percent wouldn’t react in a cyberbullying case, mainly because of fear.

Concerning parents, it seems that many of them don’t pay much attention to their children’s Internet activity. Only a 24% of the students state to speak to their parents about it. The rest do it sometimes (52%) or not at all (24%). Besides, 66% of parents don’t supervise children when they are on the Internet. Parents using any system of parental control are in a minority, just a 5 percent.
