Information System Analysis & Design on Pediatrics Office Presented by Team #5 Jie-Soo Hong Youngjoon Kim Rinardi Yu Wu

Description of the Client Small pediatrics office Three doctors and four nurses The number of active patients are over 1,000. Three main business functions 1. Patient mgmt. System 2. Service system 3. Billing system

Current System Analysis Patient mgmt. system 1. Registration Process 2. Scheduling Process Billing system 1. Generating Insurance and Medicare claim form Most of processes are operated manually by nurses

Problem statement Preparing paper document manually takes lots of time Difficulty in data access User Requirements Reduction of the paper work load Quick data access

System Improvement Objectives B uilding the registration system for quick data access & updating patient information Making the quick & easy appointment process Making a claim form system for quick documentation

Project Scope People (users ) 1. D irect users; nurses 2. Indirect users; doctors, patients, insurance company Data 1. Patient information 2. Insurance information 3. Treatment information 4. Schedule information

Project Scope Process (function) 1. registration process 2. appointment process 3. billing process Geography (location) 1. centralized DBMS in the office

Constraints The limit of entire budget will be $7,000 The consideration of the user’s computer skill Compatibility with the existing system The upgradability of the existing hardware Project should be finished within 3 months
