Showrooms – A Window to Science Based Innovation eINTERASIA – Negotiation meeting, 19/09/2012 eINTERASIA Showrooms Capability Maturity Transfer Model eINTERASIA showrooms to promote scientific innovation within a region – share within the network share best practice examples for Scientific Transfer of Technologies according to a standard based transfermodel improve the effectiveness of science industry collaboration and regional transfer of research investment

Showrooms Starting Point BONITA Finalized INTERREG 4B Project BONITA BONITA-Network of 7 showrooms in universities within partner regions Exchange of exhibits Anchor for scientific cooperation Starting point for transregional collaboration Translate scientific results into tangible exhibits as opportunities for real world applications Operate Showroom as an interface of science to the region Basic concept for virtual extension of showrooms eINTERASIA – Negotiation meeting, 19/09/2012

Showrooms Key Features Communication tool Dialog between Science and Industry, Public, Politics and Colleagues On regional, national and European level Demonstrators are concrete and tangible Visitors develop a greater interest in research Future is much closer than people expect Enables thinking beyond barriers Requires explicit transfer process Demonstrators have to be designed, build and operated Researchers have to “transform” their research Research is active involved University becomes Marketing Companies are interested to show their cooperation with university Own demonstrators or Invitation of own contacts to the showroom eINTERASIA – Negotiation meeting, 19/09/2012

Showrooms in eINTERASIA Professional customer interfaces are an important building block of Technology Transfer Capability WP 2 will focus on IT transfer concepts (conceptual aspects) WP 3 will use showrooms as tool for communication of results within different stakeholder groups (operational aspects) Piloting and testing the concepts of virtual showrooms for target countries centralized access to locally distributed knowledge; active engagement of different audiences in enhancing the knowledge about exhibits; optimized interdisciplinary; improved marketing of current research to business partners; improved communication of science and scientists. Establishing two showrooms in Tajikistan and Kazakhstan Promote and disseminate EU research results eINTERASIA – Negotiation meeting, 19/09/2012
