WITCHES Witches are usually women with green skin and dressed in black with a pointy hat. And why the black hat, well you see in the 15 th century it was a very popular type of head wear. And why the broom, it was used as a common household tool and also it was believed that witches hid their wands in their broom sticks during witch hunts.

PUMPKINS Also known as the Jack o lantern. And why is it associated with Halloween, because it is believed to represent a spirit every time it is light. Back in the 19 th century Irish people would use turnip instead of pumpkin to scare away unwanted visitors.
