We started off in the year 5A and 5B classroom and split up into 3 different groups they were Bottle rockets, Solar boats and Racing cars. I was in Solar boats. For the Solar boats what you needed to do is make a platform to put the solar panels on. My group put a few pieces of wood and a jug of empty cordial on ours to keep the Solar panels floating in the water. We had 3 tasks to accomplish. The first was to make it go in a straight line, Second make it move and finally float. Our group’s boat floated and moved but there was only 1 group that made theirs go in a straight line. I think the reason we couldn’t accomplish the 1 st task was because we had uneven weight on our Solar boat. Solar Boats/Introduction

After we had finished Solar boats and we had recess. After recess it was time for our last activity, Racing cars was mine. I chose to do racing cars because I felt like I hadn't really worked with drills and cutting tools before so I wanted to try something different. For the Racing cars activity you had to use a can and cut out an area big enough to fit a battery pack, off and on button, a motor and a few wires. I had finished that part of the activity and it wasn’t easy but the next stage was even harder. It may not seem difficult but it was. You basically had to find a way to make your racing car battery pack and all the other things stick on the car and it was hard because if you had it to low it wouldn’t work and the same would happen if it was to high. If everything was in the middle with some things low and others high it might work. Unfortunately I didn’t finish this part but if I get to do this activity again I would hope to finish it. Racing Cars

I would definitely focus on the task at hand that I was doing and with the knowledge I had learnt before, and go quickly through those parts and get to were I had finished off last time. I would also give what I was doing a broader range of options like for the Solar boats maybe add things that would make the boat better and I reckon I would spend more time on planning it. Next time I would pick my favorite activity I did last time and also a new one, finish the old one and start the new one. If you had the chance what would you do differently?
