 Things break all the time, including glass, dishes, potato chips and even BONES. Sean and Charlotte O'Keefe’s long wanted daughter Willow is born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type III- a very severe form of brittle bone disease. Fragile as a soap bubble, she breaks bones even at a sneeze, needing constant care which leads her family to face financial problems. Then Charlotte is given an idea by a lawyer…..she could sue her obstetrician for wrongful birth - for not having diagnosed Willow's condition early enough in the pregnancy to be able to abort the child. The payout could secure Willow's future, but to get it would mean Charlotte suing her best friend, and standing up in court to declare that she would have preferred that Willow had never been born...

 Sean O’keefe (Dad)  Charlotte O’keefe (Mother)  Amelia (Sister)  Willow (Main Character with OI)  Piper (Charlotte’s Best Friend and OB)  Rob (Piper’s Husband)  Emma (Piper’s Daughter and Willow’s best friend)  Marin Gates and Robert Ramirez (Attorney)

 Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is a group of genetic disorders that mainly affect the bones. The term "osteogenesis imperfecta" means imperfect bone formation. People with this condition have bones that break easily, often from mild trauma or with no apparent cause.  It’s inheritance is autosomal dominant.  The classic symptoms include: · Blue tint to the whites of their eyes (blue sclera) · Multiple bone fractures · Early hearing loss (deafness)  There is no treatment available as this is an inherited disorder.

 I would give this book a 4 out of 4 (super nova) because it was a great page- turning book with lots of factual information This book is very engrossing and emotional. It depicts people’s emotions very realistically. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the science field.
