LE:NOTRE Budapest 2005 WG Session master relation to Bologna, Legislation, National Associations 1.Paper on comparability of courses 2.Paper views on the requirements of National Associations and bodies of recognition (eg Architektenkammer) in respect of educational issues for the title of LA (should one have a master degree to enter the profession) (collaboration with EFLA on General Directive) 3.is professional practice experience (either within the course or outside a course) an entry requirement? - EFLA 4.Paper on people of all countries how the respond (universities or national legislation) to the Bologna agreement

LE:NOTRE Budapest 2005 WG Session master intake of students, selection, conversion courses intake of students by individual decision & special assessment defining core competencies for bachelor courses so that other schools can take them in a master (threshold level) there is a question whether internship time (type just going out, or having to meet special requirements for learning outcomes and an examen) compensate for study time conversion is still open: how can we promote them (Robert Holden: in Greenwich 2 year) one type for science based courses, one type for design based courses (types conversion master, conversion course before the master) maximum needed time (1/2 year Sweden) TR 3 master (including conversion time) Gen: in relation to the intake terms for the master. Issue: to get advised on is minimum and maximum ECTS conversion time.

LE:NOTRE Budapest 2005 WG Session master international exchange, intensive programmes, combined European programmes 1.Recommendation ECLAS/LENOTRE have a flexible policy to support exchanges. 2.Policy of 300 ECTS professional training (apart from the subdivision) because this promotes the flexibility in the program as a whole 3.Policy that training can be part of the education (the exchange programme might involve some form of training) 4.Developing an European international semester (30 ECTS) for LA 5.Defining a time frame for developing this policies (2 and 5 year) 6.Encouraging an Intensive Exchange programme of 2 weeks 7.Support alternative summer courses, how do we finance them? And ECTS for students.

LE:NOTRE Budapest 2005 WG Session master content of programmes, are bachelors employable, interships 1.The bachelor and master should be possible to follow separately 2.How to combine in bachelor studies the two tasks: prepare for professional skills and to prepare for masters 3.Advice on: what is the level and types of bachelor programmes and tasks that should be accomplished. 4.The balance between planning, design and the technical knowledge in the bachelor level. 5.Internships: what type of internships should there be used (indicate them with the requirements). Duration, in or outside the curriculum. 6.How to organise in the internship exchange? Financing of exchange? Leonardo, IAESTE (procedure)

LE:NOTRE Budapest 2005 WG Session master Flexibility and specialisation List of subjects for minors that can be part of the LA programme Possibility of promoting landscape architecture by offering minors. Minimum of free choice (eg 15% in Dublin) in the bachelor (master too??) Difference of curriculum between schools, open for variation in courses, defining a minimum for the core courses of the degree (in ECTS?) Masters courses for research preparation (this might be the bases for an international masters) Recommendations on the content of masters in order to prepare for a research orientation. Models of well defined bachelors in relation to broad masters and vice versa. Survey on how

LE:NOTRE Budapest 2005 WG Session master Titles of degrees How many bachelor titles are there, can we reduce them in order to make it better to understand Bachelor of engineering (technology), of landscape architecture, of science, of arts (in landscape architecture) Can we define these in order to make them comparable Motives: status, comparability, stressing the profiles of schools Admission for masters: what should one require competences (many types of conversion courses and way the are assessed. Title after the masters: MSc and MLA, MA in LA, MPh. Also some examples of post graduate courses On what moment one should enter the profession (some harmonization on requirements)
