Presentation transcript:

April 2012 Updates: Domestic News: we are enjoying the normal everyday routine!

The plant that Alison and Moshe gave us for the new house has bloomed, giving a feeling that we are really settled in the new place.

Dorothea made Hahgoot and me a fun birthday cake and helped to build a trampoline for the girls (you’ll read more about this in Alma’s presentations)

Barak has been working really hard and rarely sees the girls. On the weekends he gets pampered by Alma...

His books collecting hobby has got to a new level with a purchase of a barcode scanning device. In his “free time” he scans all the books in the house and catalogues them into the computer.

Misty has been feeling much better regarding her allergies after we started her on special anti-allergy food. Her fur has been growing back, but she is also growing fat and sleeps most of the time.

I’m busy as usual...

In an attempt to combat our clutter issues, I bought these cool car boxes in ALDI and now I rotate the toys every month or so. The lids are very sturdy and the girls can actually sit on the boxes. The cute design is also good with encouraging pack away.

The cars are fun to play with, not just for storing

Hahgoot the dancer and her copy-kitten side-kick

The girls work beautifully together at craft time (here they are doing free collages)

Alma made collages and Hahgoot designed a dress for her doll

We had a major breakthrough with Hahgoot’s balloons fear: she learned to blow balloons herself!

The girls enjoyed making up games with rocks and dolls

Alma copies everything Hahgoot does, to the smallest detail... But brings in her own flare!

Alma noticed that Hahgoot spends time after the bath reading, writing and drawing, so she had to do it too, including munching on crackers and drinking water!

As part of our efforts to teach Hahgoot about empathy the girls were encouraged to play “sleep time” (Hahgoot put Alma to bed including a kiss and a cuddle, which are two things Hahgoot finds hard to give others)

They took turns being doctors, which is a good game for problem solving and listening to the other person’s cues and feelings of pain or discomfort.

If you want to find out what else we did together this month, go to the next presentation!
