OBJECTIVES 1.IDENTIFY AND UNDERSTAND HOW ADJECTIVES AND ADVERBS ENHANCE A SENTENCE IDENTIFY THEME AND ANALYZE THE EFFECTS OF NARRATIVE TECHNIQUES, INCLUDING FORESHADOWING, IRONY, AND SUSPENSE. HOMEWORK: STUDY LITERARY TERMS- THEY WILL APPEAR ON YOUR VOCABULARY TESTS VOCABULARY SYNONYMS/ANTONYMS

WARM UP- COMPUTER SURVEY TAKE A LAPTOP AND FOLLOW THE LINK. ANSWER THE QUESTIONS QUIETLY. WHEN YOU FINISH, TAKE OUT R&J.

ADJECTIVES ACTIVITY TAKE OUT A PIECE OF PAPER AND REMOVE EVERYTHING ELSE FROM YOUR DESK. YOU WILL HAVE 30 SECONDS TO WRITE DOWN AS MANY ADJECTIVES TO DESCRIBE THE PICTURE ON THE FOLLOWING SLIDE. YOU MAY NOT WRITE DOWN COLORS AND THE WORDS MUST BE ABOUT THE PICTURE. WHEN I SAY STOP PUT DOWN YOUR PEN/PENCIL. NO WORDS WILL BE COUNTED AFTER THE 30 SECONDS HAVE PAST. WHEN YOU ARE READY, PUT YOUR HEAD DOWN ON THE DESK. I WILL TELL YOU TO LOOK AT THE SCREEN.
