Critical Information Summaries (CIS) The CIS is a two page summary of the important information to consider when entering into a mobile plan. The CIS must be made available to you for all mobile plans, free of charge as of the 1 st March 2013.

Calculating Costs It is important to calculate the total cost of a “typical” phone bill to work out which is actually the best deal. MMS and SMS costs are determined by multiplying the unit price by the total amount sent. Eg. Ted sends 12 SMS at $0.30each and 4 MMS at $0.50 each. How much has this cost him?

Phone call costs for Pre-paid take into account the call block and flagfall. Call block is the price for every 60 seconds of the call length Flagfall is the connection fee, paid once per phone call Eg Ted makes a phone call for 4mins, 5 seconds. He is charged $0.95 per 60 second block plus $0.35 flagfall. Calculate the cost of the call.

Complete the sheet Calculate the cost of a 12 min and 18 sec call with a flagfall of $0.14 and a cost of $0.24 for a call block of 30 secs.
