Basic Steps  Secure the scene  Control hazardous conditions  Provide care  Call EMS and police if necessary  Isolate the scene  Notify OSHA, TRC, TxGLO, insurance carrier  Gather evidence  Identify and interview witnesses

Accident Scene Preservation  Secure the area  Photograph the area from various angles  Use an item of known length to give perspective to objects  Draw a picture or diagram of the scene  Details are critical  Collect samples, if applicable
