LETTER TO AUTHOR REVIEW

What aspect of your letter makes you the most proud? What areas do you feel you need to work on?

Breaking up the questions paragraph. It didn’t feel overwhelming with questions. Use block letter format correctly Quotes that were chosen were specific and enhanced your analysis. organized paragraphs correctly from requirements given. seemed genuine in their analysis of the book. Nice connections between the book and student’s life.

Punctuate title correctly Include direct quotes and parenthetical documentation. Be clear about your analysis; why do these things stand out to you? Give LOTS of concrete details. Watch spelling, sentence fluency, and conventions (u instead of you!) Leave out clichés. =weak writing. “painted a picture in my mind” Watch out for too much author praise instead of writing about what you needed to write about. Don’t start or end body paragraphs with a direct quote.
