Neighborhood Watch Meeting Statistics The Neighborhood Watch Program was established in 1972 Burglary accounts for 1/3 of all serious crimes reported in U.S. This crime carries a high risk of injury or even death for victim who comes into surprise contact with burglar.

Neighborhood Watch Meeting Neighborhoods with a Neighborhood Watch Program have crime rates 40 % lower than those neighborhoods without one. In the past 3 – 4 months we have had;  11 confirmed break-ins/thefts  4 of those were on leave/TDY  2 houses were set up for future actions  1 confirmed intruder

Neighborhood Watch Meeting  1 possible intruder  6 suspicious activities reported Additionally, there have been 4 unsecured residences and 15 cases of vandalism reported During the same time period, Jacksonville has had over 80 reported thefts/break-ins

Neighborhood Watch Meeting  EVERY AIRMAN IS A SENSOR We need all residents to be observant to their neighborhoods and their surroundings. Public will not be patrolling  HOW NOT TO BE A TARGET! Neighborhood Watch Meeting  Signs are being ordered and should be posted within two weeks.  Law enforcement doesn’t know your neighborhood unless they live in it. Only residents can recognize a car or person or activity that is out of place.
