Slide 1 EIM Charter Identify and articulate common EIM requirements: Use cases System Requirements Specification (SRS) Work with other OpenSG groups, particularly OpenHAN, OpenADE, OpenADR and AMI-Ent, to establish requirements. Develop common EIM Framework that satisfies requirements, taking advantage of other relevant industry work as appropriate (e.g., vision, governance, processes, etc.) Collaborate to build an OpenSG generic semantic model and/or reference model to be used as members as a starting point for their enterprises. Leverages standards specified in the NIST Smart Grid Roadmap Provide a forum for exchanging information so that all members can benefit from lessons learned. Collaborate with Standards Development Organizations (SDOs), NIST SGIP, and/or consortiums so that needed advancements are accomplished in the most appropriate organizations in the most efficient manner.

EIM Task Force First meeting - Wednesday at 3:30 “EIM Birds of a Feather” Briefly discuss new EIM TF SharePoint Utility member presentation regarding their EIM experiences and plans, focusing on: 1) EIM challenges 2) lessons learned 3) key requirements The purpose for this session is twofold: 1) Learning from one another while getting ourselves to common reference point, 2) Systematically ensuring the EIM System Requirements Specification (SRS) and use cases that we are developing will address the highest priority requirements (functional and nonfunctional) of our member organizations.

EIM Task Force Meetings on Thursday morning Requirements Discussion and review of SRS section authors and contributors and validate all topics during one of the sessions Discuss plans for use cases Smart Grid Semantic Model Discuss needs and requirements for Smart Grid Semantic Model that leverages relevant standards to cover the scope of the Smart Grid Discuss how to collaborate with organizations like NIST and the IEC Define master plan and break it into prioritized phases Set key milestones for roadmap
