WPFL Diversity Challenge: Reaching Multicultural Communities in the Workplace Shelly Morningstar Akoya

The WPFL Diversity Challenge The Opportunity Three Simple Actions Engagement. A commitment to engage one or more local, state, regional, or national diversity partners (or improve/expand your existing engagement) to implement at least one or more of the ideas, actions, or events from this presentation. Measurement. Track progress and results over a three month period, July 1 – September 30, Recognition. HHS will recognize top performers in the Diversity Challenge.

Creating Successful Workplace Partnerships Apply the Collaborative Framework and Change Concepts to build a roadmap, leverage opportunity, and yield results & actionable donor designation High Level Changes and First Things First: Create an AIM Statement Clear responsibilities and measurable action Reflective of “real” data (# enrolled, # activities, # registered donors, # potential donors = # actionable donor designations)

High Level Changes and First Things First

Potential Donors Reached/Registered To Date

High Level Changes and First Things First Organize & assemble a WPFL Team Identify the greatest potential Make bold offers & requests Ideas for Action Elevator speech – must be a “win-win” Rapidly test using the model of improvement Plan, do, study, act Test and implement in “real” time Tie to relevant data (# potential donors, # registered, # consents) Spread the success Celebrate success & results!

Interactive Group Discussion Create a possible WPFL AIM statement. Who makes up your WPFL team and donation champions? Where is the greatest potential for successful outcome? What are your BOLD offer and requests and Ideas for Action? Develop an elevator speech. “CEO…I’m with…and a member of the WPFL. I’d like to share with you…I ask for your commitment to…”

The WPFL Diversity Challenge Today, I commit to the Diversity Challenge and agree to engage a multicultural workplace partner, implement one of more Ideas for Action, share success, and report results and outcome. How will you be in action with the Diversity Challenge and other WPFL initiatives when you return? Ignite Your WPFL Collaborative Engine
