GLOBAL WARMING BY: KADEN STEPHAN AND MATTHEW GREER

WHAT IS GLOBAL WARMING? A GRADUAL INCREASE IN THE OVERALL TEMPERATURE OF THE EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE GENERALLY ATTRIBUTED TO THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT CAUSED BY INCREASED LEVELS OF CARBON DIOXIDE, AND OTHER POLLUTANTS.

WHY IS IS HAPPENING? MOST CLIMATE SCIENTISTS AGREE THE MAIN CAUSE OF THE CURRENT GLOBAL WARMING TREND IS HUMAN EXPANSION OF THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT WHICH IS WARMING THAT RESULTS WHEN THE ATMOSPHERE TRAPS HEAT RADIATING FROM EARTH TOWARD SPACE. CERTAIN GASES IN THE ATMOSPHERE BLOCK HEAT FROM ESCAPING.

HOW CAN WE HELP? WE CAN HELP BY TAKING ACTION TO REDUCE OUR PERSONAL CARBON EMISSIONS. WE CAN REDUCE ENERGY USE. ALSO DRIVE A SMART CAR. BUY ENERGY EFFICIENT APPLIANCES. IN ADDITION REPLACE YOUR LIGHTBULBS WITH COMPACT FLUORESCENT BULBS. AND IF THE EARTH IS ABOUT TO BURN THEN WE CAN USE THE MONEY THAT WE SAVED TO MAYBE LIVE ON MARS BECAUSE OBAMA IS GETTING PEOPLE TO SEE IF WE COULD LIVE THERE FOR GLOBAL WARMING.

GLOBAL WARMING IMPACTS 1.GLOBAL WARMING IS ACCELERATING THE RATE OF SEA LEVEL RISE AND DRAMATICALLY INCREASING COASTAL FLOODING RISKS, ESPECIALLY ON THE U.S. EAST COAST AND GULF OF MEXICO. 2.WILDFIRES ARE INCREASING AND WILDFIRE SEASON IS GETTING LONGER IN THE WESTERN U.S. AS TEMPERATURES RISE. 3. GLOBAL WARMING IS QUICKLY BECOMING THE BIGGEST THREAT TO THE LONG-TERM SURVIVAL OF AMERICA’S WILDLIFE. 4. WILDLIFE AND PLANTS THAT ARE ABLE TO ADJUST ARE SHIFTING THEIR RANGES NORTHWARD OR TO HIGHER ALTITUDES TO ADJUST TO WARMING TEMPERATURES.

HOW WILL WE REDUCE GLOBAL WARMING/CLIMATE CHANGE? 1. INVEST IN GREEN HOUSES – THE HOUSE CAN BE POWERED BY SOLAR PANELS AND HAVE THEM ON THE ROOF AND IT WILL POWER EVERYTHING IN THE HOUSE. 2. DRIVE SMARTER CARS.-ELECTRIC-USE SOLAR PANELS ON GROUND AND ON TOP AND BOTTOM OF CAR SO IT CAN RUN. WE COULD ALSO HAVE A SINGLE LANE FOR ELECTRIC CARS TO CHARGE. 3. CREATE GREEN HOMES AND BUILDINGS. PUT SOLAR PANELS ON THE ROOF OF BUILDING TO POWER IT. 4. BUILD BETTER COMMUNITIES AND TRANSPORTATION NETWORKS. RIDE BIKES AND SUBWAYS AND BUILD MORE PARKS.

WHAT ENERGY SOURCES ARE WE CONVERTING TO? WE ARE CONVERTING TO ELECTRIC, SOLAR AND NATURAL SOURCES TO NOT PUT AS MUCH CARBON DIOXIDE IN THE AIR AND NOT AS MUCH POLLUTION.

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL PAY FOR THIS BECAUSE… WE AS PRESIDENT WILL LOWER THE SALE PRICE AND RAISE THE TAXES, SO THE EXTRA TAXES WILL GO TO GLOBAL WARMING AND WILDLIFE.

CHANGES IF WE ARE ELECTED FOR PRESIDENT WE ARE GOING TO USE THE TAXES EARNED TO SAVE WILDLIFE, GLOBAL WARMING, AND FOR THE MILITARY. WE ARE ALSO GOING TO LOWER THE SALES PRICE AND RAISE THE TAXES SO WE CAN USE THAT MONEY TO HELP THESE THINGS. WE WILL MAKE THE SALES PRICE GO DOWN 1 DOLLAR AND THE TAXES UP 1 DOLLAR.

OTHER COUNTRIES INVOLVED????? YES, WE WILL HAVE OTHER COUNTRIES INVOLVED LIKE CHINA, BECAUSE THEY MANUFACTURE ALMOST EVERYTHING WE HAVE AND THEY ARE A GOOD ALLIE.WE WILL HAVE MEETINGS AND COUNSELS ABOUT OUR PLANS TO HELP GLOBAL WARMING.
