What is Geography? Geography is about such things as: knowing where things are being able to read a map calculate the time differences situate a place or event heard in the news on your mental map of the world.

What is Geography? Geography is also about: understanding why things are located where they are. the Earth and its divisions (continents, countries, etc.) and how these divisions are affected by: the climate animal and plant life people resources industries products

What is Geography? By knowing geography, we can see how historical processes and present activities influence places, people and things. A knowledge of geography is becoming increasingly important as tools like the Internet take us to every corner of the world with the click of a button. Geography is about life-long learning. The world is constantly changing and what we see today will certainly be different than what we will experience in years to come. With knowledge of geography, we are better prepared to understand, interpret and find our place in this changing world
