the problem _employees don’t seem to care about what we want them to care about _and when they do, the distrust and cynicism are still high _we’re not Enron, Tyco or Worldcom, your CEO isn’t Bernie Ebbers or Ken Lay —but they don’t know that _employees feel that even when the company wins they lose _they’re not engaged and they’re not leaving either

the hard truth _when you lay-off or fire lots of people they don’t like you very much _people have been lied to—and they think you’re lying to them too (are you?) _trust takes years to build and a brief moment to destroy _at the end of the day… they’re right
