How can we grow in Christ-like character?

V 1-4 Set your heart and mind on things above/heavenly things not on earthly things

Paul wants us to focus on spiritual truths about our relationship with Christ.’ V 1: we have been raised with Christ. V 3: our life is now hidden with Christ in God. V 4; we will appear with Christ in glory

How can we set our mind on Jesus and His kingdom? Read the word Invite the Holy Spirit to fill us everyday Start your day with Holy Spirit Find out what your spiritual gift is and use it Take time to Worship and pray When making decisions ask yourself, will this bring me closer to Jesus or further away from him? Make a commitment to be faithful

Put to death what belongs to your earthly nature.

How can we put to death the old sinful habits? Don’t feed them. Count yourself dead to them. Romans 6 v Live to please God. Rom 12 v1 Be transformed by the renewing of our mind with Gods word. Rom 12 v2 Choose to produce to produce the fruit of the Spirit V 12
