Dr. Tom’s TEN WONDERS OF CHRISTMAS
WONDER #1 How there was no room in the inn or anywhere else for this child or any child to be born just as I ponder how so many people today have no room in their heart for Jesus.
WONDER #2 How God chose to leave heaven—his omnipotence, his omnipresence, his omniscience—to live in a frail human body and be born in a feeding trough.
WONDER #3 How God chose to be born, live among, and teach the poor instead of the middle class and wealthy just as I understand why middle class and wealthy people today have no need of the Savior.
WONDER #4 How so many things about Jesus Christ were prophesied correctly in the Bible by different prophets.
WONDER #5 How the magi or wise men paid such attention to the star while most people missed it.
WONDER #6 How it must have felt to experience the heavenly host of angels singing the good news and how their praise seems to be similar to the worship we will be a part of someday in heaven.
WONDER #7 How Mary and Joseph must have felt at being the parents of the Son of God and how different Jesus must have been from other children.
WONDER #8 How children may have mocked Jesus as a “do gooder” just as we are sometimes made fun of when we do good.
WONDER #9 How the message of Christmas is so simple that so many people just don’t get it—including some Christians.
WONDER #10 How God so loved me that he gave his only begotten son so that if I believe in him I will never perish but will have eternal life.
But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 (NKJV) What are your personal ponderings of the Wonders of Christmas?
