2 Luke 1:26-33 In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.

3 Luke 1:26-33 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.”

4 The Angel Gabriel Came The angel Gabriel came, bringing news to Mary,
The angel Gabriel came, promising a Baby. “Your baby boy will be God’s own Son, The Savior promised for everyone!” The angel Gabriel came, bringing news to Mary. A Ba-by boy.

5 Gabriel Appears to Mary
An angel came to Mary And Gabriel was his name. He had good news to tell her, That is why he came “You're going to have a baby, A little baby boy. He is God’s own Son, Jesus, And he will bring great joy.

6 Gabriel Appears to Mary
Then Mary was excited And overjoyed, you see, For God had sent a Savior The Savior for you and me!

7 Luke 2:1-5 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to his own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.

8 Luke 2:1-5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.

9 Joseph Went to Bethlehem
To give the King his name “I am from King David’s line, Our families are the same.” All Children: Joseph went walking, What did he see? Joseph: I see Mary looking at me.

10 Joseph Went to Bethlehem
Mary went with Joseph too Because she was his wife. Their little babe would soon be born To give us heav’nly life. All Children: Mary went walking, What did she see? Mary: I see a donkey looking at me.

11 Joseph Went to Bethlehem
The inns in Bethlehem were full They had no place to stay. Yet in a stable dark and bare They’d sleep upon the hay.

12 Luke 2:6-7 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn

13 Joseph Went to Bethlehem
Late, late, late that night Jesus Christ was born. They laid him in a manger bed And strips of cloth he wore.

14 Luke 2:8-14 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.

15 Luke 2:8-14 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.”

16 The Angel Gabriel Came There was a new-born Babe, lying in a manger,
A new-born Babe, safe from any danger. He came to earth, took our sins away So that we might live in heav’n some-day. There was a new-born babe, lying in a manger, On Christmas Day.

17 Luke 2:15-16 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.

18 All Children: Donkey went walking,
What did he see? Donkey: I see shepherds looking at me.

19 The Shepherds Went to Worship Him
The shepherds went to worship him, worship him, worship him. The shepherds went to worship him, the Babe in Bethlehem. All Children: Shepherds went walking, What did they see? Shepherds: We see Jesus, that’s what we see!

20 Luke 2:17-20 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

21 The Shepherds Went to Worship Him
They told their friends and family, family, family. They told their friends and family, “Jesus Christ is born!”

22 Away in a Manger Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,
The little Lord Jesus laid down His sweet head. The stars in the bright sky looked down where He lay, The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.

23 Away in a Manger The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes,
But little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes. I love you, Lord Jesus! Look down from the sky, And stay by my side until morning is nigh.

24 Away in a Manger Be near me, Lord Jesus; I ask you to stay
Close by me forever and love me, I pray. Bless all the dear children in your tender care. And take us to heaven to live with you there.

25 After the Shepherds Praised the Lord
They left for home and spread the Word. They told their friends and family, “Christ has come to set us free!”

26 Matthew 2:1-2, 9b-11 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.” …and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.

27 Matthew 2:1-2, 9b-11 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.

28 We’re Wise Men Coming from Afar We’re wise men coming from afar;
We saw his star. We’re wise men coming and we bring Great gifts of love for Christ our King, And we’ll spread the news as we Travel near and far.

29 The Wise Men One cold and dark, dark night Some wise kings from afar
Were studying the sky And saw a brand new star. This star had told them that A king had just been born. It happened long ago On the first Christmas morn.

30 The Wise Men They followed the bright star
To the house of that young King. They worshiped him and praised him With gifts that they did bring.

31 Joy to the World Joy to the world, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King; Let ev'ry heart prepare him room And heav'n and nature sing, And heav'n, and heav'n and nature sing.

32 Joy to the World Joy to the earth, the Savior reigns!
Let all their songs employ, While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.

33 Joy to the World No more let sins and sorrows grow
Nor thorns infest the ground; He comes to make his blessings flow Far as the curse is found, Far as, far as the curse is found.
