Early Career  Signed to Columbia Records by John Hammond  Bob Dylan – 1962 Talkin’ New York Song to Woody Sells only 5000 copies  Legally changes name in 1963  Hires Albert Grossman as his manager

Early Career  The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan – 1963 Blowin’ in the Wind A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall  Album also includes a mixture of love songs and jokey, talking blues Bob Dylan’s Blues  The range of material on the album impressed many listeners, including The Beatles. George Harrison said, "We just played it, just wore it out. The content of the song lyrics and just the attitude—it was incredibly original and wonderful."
