Mercury Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun. Mercury is the hottest planet.

Venus Venus is the brightest planet viewed from Earth. It takes 224 days for Venus to orbit the Sun

Earth Earth has one moon. Earth is the only planet with liquid water. Earth is the only planet with living organisms.

Mars A day on Mars is a half an hour longer than Earth. It is the fourth planet from the Sun.

Jupiter Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. Jupiter is a gas giant.

Saturn Saturn is the second largest planet Saturn has seven thin rings.

Uranus Uranus is the coldest planet in our solar system. Uranus spins on its side.

Neptune Neptune is the farthest planet from the sun. Neptune has 19 moons.

The Asteroid Belt It is between Mars and Jupiter. The asteroid belt is hard to see because it is composed of small stuff, like rocks and ice chunks.
