Shutter Speeds and Motion Slow shutter speed- using a shutter speed below 60 will result in motion blur. Fast shutter speed- using a shutter speed above 60 will result in the motion being frozen.

Slow Shutter Speed=

Motion Blur

Fast Shutter Speed=

frozen motion

Depth of Field The amount of your photo that is in focus from foreground to background. Depth of field is controlled by what camera part? Long Depth of Field (f16 - f22) Short Depth of field (f1.9 - 3.4)

High aperture setting =

Long Depth of Field

Low aperture setting=

Short Depth of Field

Light Meter located in side the viewfinder The light meter should always be adjusted to be in the middle before a photograph is taken + -

Light meter located in side the viewfinder What are the two ways to adjust the light meter? Adjust the shutter speed Adjust the aperture setting

Under exposed/ Over exposed Under exposed photos come from not letting enough light into the camera. Overexposed photos come from letting too much light into the camera.

ASA / ISO = FILM SPEED How sensitive the film is to light. Higher the # the more sensitive The lower the # the less sensitive. 100-400 Outdoor 400 + Indoor
