The civil rights activists happened because some people thought that African Americans should still be slaves. Some thought that black people were lesser then they were.

It all started with a woman by the name of Rosa Parks. She was sitting on the local bus and a white man come on the bus she was sitting in “his” seat, he told her to move but she didn’t this started the whole movement.

Everyone thought that Ms.Rosa was a very brave woman. A very important person thought the same way. He went by the name of Martin Luther King Jr. He was a man who defiantly fought for not just his but for everyone’s rights to vote, go to the same restaurant as white people, use the same restroom, and the same water fountains.

African American people all over were marching with Dr.King they started a NONVILOIENT protest not doing any harm in the slightest but the police beat them, sprayed them with very powerful fire hoses, and let dogs attack them but they did nothing to start a fights.

Now a days people white and black get a long very nicely but some still get Bullied but not most.
