Groups of young people, from 5 different countries: Italy, Romania, Turkey, Portugal and Spain representing a mix group of young people and young people with fewer opportunities met in Italy, attended and got a deeper knowledge on environment and climate change, raising young people's awareness and mobilization in tackling global environmental challenges and climate change thus encouraging the development of green skills and behaviors among young people and youth leaders and their commitment to a more sustainable growth, focusing on benefits of exploring cultural diversity and its implications. During the youth exchange there were facilitated organized creative and sport activities, excursions and special workshops. Furthermore, the activities were developed in teams, thus the youth had the opportunity to learn how to work together in a culturally diverse teams. EcoAct The youth have actively participated in the following ACTIVITIES based on climate change and sports:  Energizers: every morning a country group has organized a short activity aiming to wake up and catch the attention of the participants before starting the working day.  Workshops such as…. Intercultural communication: the workshop was carried out in order to give the participants some insight in how cultural differences can lead to friction in mutual communications. Youth Exchange Activities The project took place from 3rd to 10th of June 2013, in Pratarelle, Orvinio, Italy at Casa per Ferie “San Michele” (arrival on 2nd of June and departure on 11th of June 2013). EcoAct is an European project co-financed by the Programme YOUTH IN ACTION 2012 (Action 1.1 Youth Exchanges), and promoted by the “Associazione di voluntariato INCREDERE”. When and Where? What is it? The main OBJECTIVES of the project were: 1.To get a deeper knowledge on environment and climate change 2.To raise young people's awareness and mobilization in tackling global environmental challenges and climate change 3.To encourage the development of green skills and behaviors among young people and youth leaders and their commitment to a more sustainable growth by actively involving the young participants in defining actions against climate change 4.To discover and become aware of different social and cultural realities

Introduction to the Climate Change issue: this workshop stimulated the participants to reflect and gain understanding about the topic, how they can get involved, and what their needs are in such a situation and what they can do. By sharing these experiences the participants recognized that they share many feelings, which stimulates mutual understanding and create opportunities of acting, becoming conscious of environmental changes and the need to change their behaviour. EcoActing I and II: in the first part of the Workshop the participants have learnt how to increase people awareness through flash mob. In the second part, they have worked in mix groups to create a flashmob on climate change. Finally, the most voted flashmob was carried out by all the participants in Orvinio Village and published on YouTube.  Video Lab awareness: in small groups the participants have prepared a video for an awareness raising campaign on climate change and the most voted one was published on YouTube.  Art & Environment: the aim of this activity was to make the participants reflect on the learning of the week and in a creative way to use the knowledge gained to develop an art piece/ statue made by objects from the nature.  Country traditional outdoor sport/ game: each day one participant country toughed the other participants how to play one traditional sport game with the aim of approaching the young participants to the environment that surrounds them and promoting healthy behaviours among them.  Multicultural evenings - Country Presentation: during the multicultural evenings the participants had the opportunity to learn more about the other participants´ countries and so, to understand their different traditions, cultures and social realities, through music, dance and food. Each Day one of the participants´ country has presented the most representative aspects regarding their country and shared with the other young participants some traditional meals, songs and dances.
