Attendance Make-Up Work Review Nightly Listen to Others in Classroom Seek Help and Ask Questions EARLY

Before school (7:15-7:45) After School (3:00-3:30) Exceptions Math Lab Open some periods Staffed by a math instructor

A=90-100%, B=80-90%, and so on Weighted grades –Tests (45%) –Quizzes (25%) –Homework and Participation (10%) –Projects (20%)

Given once every three weeks Always announced in advance Usually covers 3-4 topics Worth 50 points 45% of overall grade

Given periodically throughout the year Each quiz covers one topic Worth 15 points No make-ups (total quiz score will be lower than other students) If all quizzes in a quarter are taken, lowest score is dropped 20% of overall grade

Assigned almost every night 10% of overall grade Possible methods I use to ensure homework is being completed: homework check for points class discussion to check for comprehension students complete problems on the chalkboard Possible ways to participate in class: asking/answering pertinent questions becoming involved in class discussions putting problems on the board bringing in statistical articles to share with the class Doing work for other classes during class is considered a negative.

Assigned periodically throughout the year (one per quarter) Designed to encompass several different statistical concepts May involve the use of a statistical program called Minitab 20% of overall grade
