THE SEVEN D’S Disease. A disease is a particular abnormal condition, of a structure or function that affects part or all of an organism. The causal study of disease is called pathology. Disease is often construed as a medical condition associated with specific symptoms and signs. Disorder A state of confusion. Degeneration Loss of function in the cells of a tissue or organ. Deterioration The process of becoming progressively worse. Disable Limit in their movements, senses and activities. Deformity The state of being deformed, misshapen and malformation. Death The end of the life of a person or organism.
