 For a normal game you need 5 players  You can also play with less players in a “pick-up” game  Another common number to play basketball with is 3  WE WILL BE PLAYING 5 ON 5 Rule 1: Number of players

 3 points: Beyond the three point arc (Blue half circle in our gym)  2 points: Most common, anywhere in front of the three point arc  1 Point: Free-throw, only time you can get one point Rule 2: Scoring

 Traveling (Moving two steps without dribbling the ball)  Double-Dribble (When you dribble, pick up the ball and dribble again)  Carry (Twisting you hand from the bottom of the ball to the top, hand must stay on top) Rule 3: Violations
