What has been happening? Rugby Pilot  Running in Rugby for 3 months  Working with BID Street Rangers and PCSO’s  12 Safe Places registered in Rugby  Information Packs  Window Stickers  Forming links with other organisations  More Safe Places signed up in Leamington and Warwick Registered Safe Places Webpages address:

What will be happening next? Media Launch – local newspapers and radio coverage Distributed Hate Crime cards to adults with LD in the Pilot area (Rugby) and notify providers. Raising Awareness through Community Hubs Following set up period PCSO’s and Safe Place Champions will review each safe place. Evaluate pilot at the end of May 2013 Gathering feedback from safe places and people issued hate crime cards, providers about the scheme Plan the next pilot in Stratford to start from July 2013

We will be planning for phased pilots to be carried out in the following areas : North Warwickshire (Atherstone and Coleshill, Tamworth tbc) November 2013 Nuneaton and Bedworth February 2014 Once the scheme has been rolled out across Warwickshire, we will then look at making it available for anyone who feels unsafe.
